We work with premium international banks that apply the same protocols we do. Every candidate completes the full process before her profile becomes visible, and whatever doesn't clear it never reaches the catalog.
Origin and intake
Candidates come from our partner banks in Europe and other regions, alongside those who join in Mexico. More than a thousand a year begin the process.
Medical and family history
Personal and family history is reviewed. Any history of genetic or infectious disease of concern stops the process at this stage.
Physical exams and serology
Blood work to rule out infectious disease, and a full gynecological review of reproductive health.
Genetic testing
Following the medical protocol indicated, to reduce the risk of passing on inherited conditions.
Psychological evaluation
An interview with mental health professionals confirming sound health and that the decision to donate is informed and freely made.
Profile documentation
Only then are physical characteristics, ancestry, education and occupation recorded. That's what you'll see in the catalog.
