We received more than 1000 young women with different features that year, they decide to apply to become egg donors.

Each one of the candidates who want to become an egg donor goes through a rigorous selection process to ensure your optimal state of physical and mental health.

The donors of Blue Donors are women between 18 and 33 years, were subjected to different tests:

  • Gynecological (female reproductive system)
  • Serology (blood tests)
  • Genetic analysis of genes and chromosomes)

What is egg donation?

The egg donation is the treatment of high complexity that provides increased chance of pregnancy.

Once you have chosen the donor, after having undergone the various tests to corroborate its good state of physical health and reproductive, Blue Donors coordinate with it the right time of your cycle to start the donation process through the following steps:

  • Stimulation: the donor receives medications to grow their eggs for about 10-12 days, until they reach the maturity required to be able to extract.

What more includes
this stage?

While the stimulation happens, you as the recipient, you will receive medications to prepare your uterus, and endometrium (inner layer of the uterus).

Once your embryos are ready, they will make your embryo transfer, which can occur during the same cycle that your donor is stimulated or a cycle of preparation uterine later, with the support of frozen embryos.

  • Egg retrieval: you will get the eggs from the donor through an outpatient procedure under anesthesia, which will be valued and treated in the laboratory In Vitro Fertilization and then continue with the process of fertilization and embryo culture.

In parallel, the same day of the egg retrieval, you will schedule the extraction of semen sample, which can be your partner, a donor known (fresh sample), or in your case, the thawing of the semen sample (of your partner or from a sperm bank).

  • Fertilization and embryo culture: depending on the characteristics of the semen sample and the techniques that have been chosen for your treatment, we will opt for a conventional IVF or the injection of sperm (PISCI or ICSI), to then grow it and monitor its development for about 3 to 6 days; a period in which evaluates the quality and developmental competence of each of the embryos.
  • Embryo transfer: the physician fertility specialist will determine what is the cycle, or the time suitable for the transfer of your embryos, which can be done with fresh embryos (whereas the same stimulation cycle of the donor) and with thawed embryos in a cycle later.

Oh come with us and achieved your baby!

We will help you find your donor ideal so you can focus on planning the future together with your baby.
